Delayed Puberty

The average age of puberty in our region is around 11 years old. Puberty (menstruation) may occur earlier than that due to reasons that may be hereditary or related to body build or climatic factors.

Section 02

If your daughter is late in reaching puberty, do not panic. Try to reassure her that delay is acceptable and expected up to the age of 14 years, and observe the appearance of other signs of puberty such as rapid growth, breast development, and pubic hair.

Section 03

If the girl reaches the age of 14 without menstruating, we advise visiting a gynecologist to conduct the necessary tests to determine the causes of the delay.
